Fairpoint Street, Pasadena
This house was on such a unique, large, private lot that we knew buyers would fall in love with it after renovation. The house itself needed some significant remodeling. We added value by building a 500sf addition, which is now the master bedroom suite. We also made some important changes to the entryway. Before, when you walked in the front door, you were in a small, closed-off dining area with low ceilings. It didn't feel very inviting. To make for a more appealing first impression upon entering the house, we knocked out the second floor in that area (losing an upstairs closet) and exposed the two-story ceiling. That made a huge impact. We also enlarged the kitchen and relocated the laundry area.
We decided to keep the landscaping simple which created a nice clean slate for the next owner.
